Show and Tell from April 1 meeting

The Unseamlies minus one, met on Saturday for pizza, dream analysis , happiness survey, recounting of things breaking, dog antics, laughs, 2 fabulous desserts, childhood memories, photo transfer/printer fun, show and tell and planning for our upcoming show.

Show and Tell

Betty's Little Treasure, made of silk with embellishments

Nic's new quilt, "Women Are So Elegant!" .

Nic's "Men Are So Supportive!"

Cynthia's new quilt, "Deconstructed #2".

A few others for which we have no photo: Sharon's drunkard's path bed quilt in progress and Betty's Sudan portrait in progress.

Our upcoming show: in June (date TBD), we will hang 15 or so quilts at Presbyterian Manor in Boulder. Pennie and Cynthia will need to collect all the quilts by April 22 so we can plan the layout and hanging arrangement. Each of us can submit 2-4 quilts (more is better) in all sizes and with a mix of traditional and art quilts.

Next Meeting: tentatively set for May 13th, time, place and agenda TBD

Show runs March 23 – May 18, 2007
The theme for the second annual MicroCosmos show has been announced. This year’s tiny triptychs will represent Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Each work is to be 5 x 7 inches. Artists should strive to create continuity between each of their pieces so that they ‘feel’ as if they belong together.

Just a reminder – all entries must be for sale. Last year all entries were $120 and more than half of the entries sold. This year you may set a price for your triptych but it must not exceed $250. TAQS retains 30% of sales.
