Instructional photos for creating a landscape with Shiva paint sticks

Sharon prepared these instructional photos with text for the Unseamlies unable to attend our Shiva session and fun & food filled meeting on August 26. Double click on the photos to get a larger readable view.

Starting with plain fabric -we all used cotton or silk - or try hand dyed fabric:

Shiva artists at work/play

We had a wonderful lesson and demo from Sharon and quickly went to work on our own pieces.

Sharon brought her Malamute quilt partially quilted (see photo in background of instructional photos above) Nic brought her 2 recent pieces made with beautiful fabrics from her travels as well as the Tahitian silks she found in Tahiti (sorry, no photo of the silks) and Betty brought the birdhouse she made at a retreat with her Santa Fe group.
