Some of us entered quilts in the Boulder County Fair and won ribbons! Also, Betty's group quilt was entered and won a big purple champion ribbon and a blue ribbon

Backyard quilting bee with Gees Bend type quilts

The Unseamlies gathered on Sunday July 27 in Cynthia's backyard for a quilt show, hand quilting of one of our Gees Bend type quilts, and lunch. It was hot that day, but trees, Sharon's water mister and Nic's cold ice tea kept us cool!

The Chosen Quilt

We drew a name out of a hat to determine whose Gees Bend type quilt we would hand quilt at our quilting bee. With several hours of hand quilting into it, Martha has a good winter project to finish it! The fabrics Martha used are mainly from her mother's clothing.
